A lot of water

The Werbellinsee stretches over 13 km in length and is 1300 m wide in places and 60 m deep. Embedded in a glacially formed landscape, with its 786 hectares, it is one of the largest bodies of water in the Schorfheide.

The lake has a lot to offer water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike - swimming, surfing, water skiing, rowing or sailing, everything is possible. Even motorboats are permitted and can also be rented.

At the northern end of Lake Werbellin is the romantic town of Joachimsthal. Worth seeing here are the town church, consecrated in 1607 and built according to the plans of the master builder Karl Friedrich Schinkel, and the former water tower converted into a viewing tower - the BIORAMA - with a 360° panoramic view of one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Europe as far as the German-Polish region, 35 km away border or to the top of the Berlin television tower (70 km).

A lot of forest

The business conference center is located approximately 60 km northeast of Berlin in the Schorfheide-Chorin UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Picturesquely surrounded by forests, not far from the conference center is the Werbellinsee - a trough lake from the Vistula period.

Of interest as excursion destinations are the nationally known Chorin Monastery with its regular concerts, Europe's largest ship lift in Niederfinow, the Hubertusstock hunting lodge (on our premises) or the Grimnitz castle ruins, which are listed as historical monuments.

Nature lovers will find many beautiful paths for hiking and walking around the Hubertusstock area. The wildlife park in Groß Schönebeck offers a viewing of bison and wolves. You can also get close to the animals in the Eberswalde Zoological Garden, the most beautiful small zoo in Germany.
